Carrot House

Privacy Policy

Last updated 24 October 2026

Your privacy matters to us. This policy explains what personal information Carrot House collects when you use thecarrothouse.com or contact us, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using our website, you agree to this policy.

Information we collect

  • Details you give us when you order or ask about a piece: your name, WhatsApp or phone number, delivery address, city, PIN code and any gift note.
  • The pieces in your bag or enquiry, and the order reference shown in your message.
  • Messages you send us on WhatsApp, by email or by phone.
  • Basic technical information that our hosting provider records automatically, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you request, to keep the website secure and working.

When you tap the checkout, Buy now or sold-out enquiry button, the details you have entered and the pieces you chose are saved with us, even if you then decide not to send the WhatsApp message. This lets us help you complete your order and understand which pieces are in demand.

We do not collect card or bank details on this website.

How we use your information

  • To confirm, pack and deliver your order, and to keep you updated about it
  • To answer your questions and handle returns
  • To understand which pieces are popular and improve our collection
  • To meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations

We send you messages only about your orders and enquiries. We do not sell or rent your personal information to anyone.

Who we share it with

  • Courier and delivery partners, who need your name, address and phone number to deliver your parcel
  • Service providers that host our website and database on our behalf, under appropriate safeguards
  • Google, which provides our website analytics (see below)
  • Government or law-enforcement authorities, when the law requires it

Orders and messages on WhatsApp are also handled by WhatsApp under its own privacy policy. Links to Instagram and Pinterest are covered by those platforms' policies.

Cookies and information stored on your device

Our website keeps your bag, and the contact details you entered at checkout, in your own browser so they are ready next time. This information stays on your device; you can remove it at any time by clearing your browser data for our website.

We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors find and use our website, for example which pages are viewed and which pieces are added to the bag. It uses cookies, and Google collects information such as your device, browser, approximate location and the pages you visit. We never send your name, phone number or address to Google Analytics. You can opt out with Google’s browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

We do not use advertising cookies.

How long we keep it

We keep order details for as long as needed to serve you and to meet legal and tax requirements. We delete enquiries and unfinished orders we no longer need.

Keeping it safe

Our website uses a secure, encrypted connection (HTTPS), and access to customer details is limited to our staff. No method of storing information online is completely secure, but we take reasonable care to protect it.

Your rights

Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you may ask us to access, correct or delete your personal information, or withdraw consent you have given. To do so, or to raise a concern about how we handle your information, please contact us using the details on our contact page. We will respond as soon as possible.
